8. Cicily – A separate region of Italy, Cicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Its home to a rich collection of art and history from Apregentos valley of the temples to baroque churches. Cicily is also home to Europe’s tallest active volcano, Mt Edta.
9. Lake District – Visited by tourists for over one-hundred years, the Italian Lake District stretches across Northern Italy. Although the Southern ends of majority of the lakes are rather flat, the Northern ends on the other hand, reach deep into the Alps and have an incredible view of the mountains.
